UTES GET PAST BEARS 31-24

Opponents better take notice, Utah's football program is on the rise and there to stay under head coach Urban Meyer.

Live on ESPN Thursday night and in front of the partisan crowd inside Rice-Eccles Stadium the Utes came out victorious against the Bears behind a savy effort from quarterback Alex Smith, and yet another top-notch performance from running back Brandon Warfield.

Smith threw for a modest 136 yards, but completed 18 of his 27 pass attempts, and ran for one touchdown.

Warfield only managed 94 yards on the ground, but scored three more touchdowns. Warfield is one of the best running backs in the country, period.

A full recap of the game will be up later today.
