The Utes are tracking one of California's top signal callers from San Jose. Can they lure him away from the Pac 10 programs on his respective list?

Darren Bragg, QB, 6-2, 190-pounds, San Jose, Calif., (Bellarmine Prep) is getting looks from several programs, including the Utes.

"Washington, Oregon, Cal, Utah and Colorado," Bragg said of the programs he's currently most interested in.

Does Bragg currently have a leader?

"I would say Washington."

Bragg describes himself as a Donovan McNabb-type quarterback that can make plays on the move. That definitely fits what Utah head coach Urban Meyer wants to do in Salt Lake City.

So what is Bragg looking for in a college?

"Some place I can throw it; a place where they throw it a lot like Washington. Utah's offense kind of fits that too."

Bragg currently does not have any scholarship offers and has yet to set up any official visits.

Bragg has a self-reported 3.4 GPA and scored 950 on the SAT which he will retake on Nov. 1.
