2. Air Force 3-2
The Falcons did not play either, thus they did not lost and do not slide in the rankings.
3. Utah 4-3
The Utes lose to a bad team and don't slide. Why? Because everyone else did what they were supposed to or just did not play this week.
6. Wyoming 3-4
A week ago the Cowboys were a distant sixth. After beating Utah I was tempted to rank them a few spot higher.
7. New Mexico 3-4
A close win over UNLV is good, but not enough to move past anyone.
8. UNLV 1-5
One win is better than SDSU's zero wins.
9. San Diego State 0-5
With two weeks to prepare can the Aztecs get their first win? Probably not, Air Force had a good 10 days to prep.
Utah at New Mexico
These two go on Thursday night. The Utes want to rebound from a disappointing loss to Wyoming, while New Mexico wants to improve upon a close win over UNLV.
UNLV at BYU
If BYU is truly the class of the league, then they should win this one easily. However, UNLV feels they can build on a close loss against New Mexico.
TCU at Army
The up and down Cadets want to catch TCU on a losing streak, the Frogs want to rebound from a bad start in MWC play.
Colorado State at Wyoming
Both teams have hopes of playing for something late in the season. This one may not be an elimination game, but it could be close.
Air Force at San Diego State
Good news for the Aztecs, they get D-IAA Cal Poly next week. This week they get a really good Falcon team.
