1. BYU 5-2
Five in a row for the Cougars who have scored at least 30 in those same five games. Have won by 30 or more in three of their last four.
2. Wyoming 4-4
The Cowboys ride a three-game win streak and have not been beaten by more than seven points.
3. New Mexico 4-4
The Lobos have won two straight and three of their four losses were against teams that are just plain better.
5. TCU 4-2
Good record overall but the Horned Frogs are still winless in league play. TCU still has half of its season ahead to either jump way up of fall lower.
6. Utah 4-4
The Utes have lost three of four after winning three in a row. Disappointing season so far and things don't get easier with Air Force, CSU and BYU still to come.
7. Colorado State 4-3
There is a big drop off between six and seven. CSU is 1-2 in the league and still has four games against teams that appear to be as good or better.
8. San Diego State 1-5
SDSU finally wins and gets a D-IAA team this weekend. The Aztecs could win two of their next three without having to pull an upset.
9. UNLV 1-5
The Rebels have lost five in a row and things don't look much better. Only SDSU has a losing record of the six teams left on the schedule.
BYU at Air Force
The Cougars control their own destiny, while the Falcons try to hold serve and prove that the SDSU game was indeed a fluke.
New Mexico at Colorado State
The Lobos are hot, CSU is not. The Rams hope a little home cooking can help them out.
Wyoming at TCU
The Horned Frogs NEED this win. They are winless in MWC play but a good overall record has them in bowl contention. Wyoming can stay in the league race with a road win.
Cal Poly at San Diego State
Could the Aztecs make two in a row or are they headed for a huge disappointment against a lower division foe?
UNLV at Utah
The Utes are struggling, but UNLV should be just the cure for what ails them.
