Ready to Run

Willie Youngblood, a 5-9, 175-pound running back out of Muir HS in Pasadena, Calif., is trying to make sure he gets his money's worth out of his senior season.

Whether or not he is able to is still up in the air, but some schools have seen enough of Youngblood to pique their interest.

"I have started to hear from Coach Cabral from Colorado, and Coach Schramm from Utah," Youngblood said. "Arizona has also sent me some letters."

After an injury plagued junior year in which Youngblood still produced 1439 yards on 155 carries for 13 touchdowns, he is training hard, running track, and hopes to always be improving.

"I missed out on my goal of 2000 yards last year because I got hurt after five games," Youngblood said. "So now I am just trying to work as hard as I can for this next year."

Along with running track and lifting, Youngblood will also attend the B2G camp for the second year, where he will be able to showcase his talent alongside some of the top prospects of 2008.

No matter what happens over the next year, Youngblood's biggest goal is to be able to play college football.

"I am interested in whoever wants to give me a scholarship, because I want to play."
