Hoops recruit sticking with Utes

New Utah coach Jim Boylen had his work cut out for him. Not only does he have the challenge of returning the Utes to the NCAA Tournament, but he had to ensure that he had an incoming recruiting class. It looks like he did just that.

Carlon Brown, 6-4 SR SG Riverside (Calif.) King, has decided to stick with his original commitment to Utah. After the departure of former Utah head coach Ray Giacoletti, Brown did give some thought to asking for his release and looking into other schools. But after some consideration, he decided to stick with new head coach Jim Boylen.

Several schools were interested in Brown in the event that he decided to ask for his release, including UConn, Virginia Tech and Cal.

Brown will be joined by Morgan Grim, another 2007 Utah commit who also decided to stick with the Utes.
