Nestor Lantigua Update

Nestor Lantigua has had an impressive season as his senior year winds down. The speedy running back out of Delray Beach feels accomplished after another successful year.

"I think I have done well for myself. Due to the running back rotation at my program I was not able to compile big stats early on. Now that the season is winding down I have been able to put up some good stats," Lantigua stated.

He has had limited carriers on the season with only 37, but made them count amassing over 507 yards and eight touchdowns. Twice this season he's dialed up touchdown runs of over 80 yards and has become quite a returner as well.

"I had some big runs against good competition this season. I'm working with Coach Trumper, my running back coach, he has help greatly with carrying the ball high and tight to pass blocking. These things have gone a long way in my senior year to prepare me for the next level," he quoted.

These stats haven't gone unnoticed, and as the season winds down his recruitment heats up.

"I'm hearing from Miami, Cincinnati, Kansas, Vanderbilt, Washington, Minnesota right now. I took a visit to Vanderbilt last summer and had a good time there. Right now I am concentrating on the playoffs and going to states. After that time, I hope to make some official visits and if the right program offers me I would commit before signing day," Lantigua explained.

Lantigua wants the ball in his hands, and making an impact early in his college career is something that's always on the running back's mind.

"I definitely want to find a school where I can make an impact early. Education is also a huge part in my decision. I would also love a good relationship with the coaches. Distance is not much of a factor for me; I just would like a place where I feel comfortable," he finished.
