Richard Hendrix lists Vanderbilt

Richard Hendrix, a highly sought power forward out of Athens, Ala is said to be considering Vanderbilt along with several other SEC schools. Hendrix is rated one of the top power forward prospects for the 2005 class.

Hendrix is described by Inside Carolina magazine as "Richard Hendrix is an anchor. Big, thick 2005 prospect who's just a strong ox. . . He's a great rebounder and can't be pushed out of the blocks by anyone. ANYONE!"

During the recent Boo Williams Invitational, a tournament of top rated national AAU teams, Hendrix had 8 points, 7 boards and 3 blocks in one game. Not bad for a sophomore against some of the nations finest talent.

The 6-7, 225 Hendrix, who plays for the Alabama Lasers AAU team in addition to his Athens (AL) High School team, is already considered one of the finest rebounders in the nation.

Early favorites for Hendrix include Alabama and Auburn in addition to the Commodores. Surely more schools will be added to the list before this young man is ready to decide. Top Stories
