Ranking the SEC

The SEC takes care of business against non-conference foes. Both SEC Bulldog squads lose in high scoring affairs.

1. LSU- Tigers take care of FCS Northwestern State, 49-3. LSU held NW State to minus four yards rushing.

2. Alabama- Tide takes it to Joe Papa, 27-11. The game wasn't as close as the score indicates as PSU scored a very late TD and then successfully went for two.

3. Arkansas- Razorbacks thrash New Mexico, 52-3. No surprises here.

4. South Carolina- Gamecocks win shootout with Georgia, 45-42. The USC offense has already scored 100 points this season but will they ever find a defense?

5. Florida- Gators thrashed UAB, 39-0. Big test comes against surging UT on Saturday in Gainesville.

6. Tennessee- The Vols Bray is passing like Peyton. Look for a big UT win on Saturday in the Swamp.

7. Auburn- Auburn gets huge win over MSU. Won't be as easy this week with a trip to Clemson.

8. Mississippi State- Bulldogs get bounced on the road by defending National Champions. Host LSU tonight.

9. Georgia- Bulldogs finally get a breather with Coastal Carolina coming to Athens this week.

11. (tie) Ole Miss- Rebs gave up 400 yards offense to Southern Illinois but still dominated. Will face Vanderbilt in a must win game for both teams.

11. (tie) Vanderbilt- Commodores made the plays when the game was on the line and pulled out the 'W' over the defending Big East Champions.

12. Kentucky- Wildcats struggled at home to Central Michigan before pulling out the victory by two touchdowns. Host rival Louisville on Saturday.
