The 'Dores will look to keep the bats going against three Alabama freshmen. Freshman Spencer Turnbull (1-3, 6.44 ERA) looks to start Friday against Vandy's T.J. Pecararo. The righty has 28 strike outs and 14 walks through 29.1 innings pitched.
Saturday looks to be a battle of freshman when left hander Taylor Guilbeau (3-2, 5.23) faces Tyler Beede. Guilbeau has the most wins of any 'Bama pitcher and 23 strike outs through 32.2 innings pitched.
Vanderbilt's probable opponent Sunday is another lefty freshman Jon Keller (1-2, 4.19 ERA). Keller has 21 strikeouts and has given up a team high four home runs in 38.2 innings.
Freshman right hander Jake Hubbard (2-1, 2.60) leads the Tide in both ERA and saves (2) in a team leading 20 appearances. Junior college transfer Cameron Carlisle is hitting .214 with six RBI's and three doubles at designated hitter. Left fielder Hunter Gregory is hitting .277 with just eight RBI's and four doubles in the senior's 34 appearances.
Brett Booth has recently seem time at both third baseman and catcher and has started all 38 games for the Tide. The junior is batting .225 and leads the team with 25 RBI's, three home runs and four doubles.
First baseman Jon Kelton is hitting .209 in 34 appearances. The senior has 12 RBI's, a triple and a home run.
Second baseman Kenny Roberts is hitting .188 with 14 RBI's, and two home runs. The Junior has seen playing time at second base shared with sophomore James Tullidge who is hitting .289 in 21 appearances.
Senior Jared Reaves leads the infield at shortstop with a .315 batting average, 22 RBI's and is tied for a team high three home runs. Ben Moore tops the Tide batting .341. The freshman catcher-right fielder has 20 RBI's, eight doubles and two home runs.
Taylor Dugas is second on the team with a .335 average and tops the team with 15 HBP and 18 walks. The center fielder also leads the Tide with ten doubles, five triples and 28 runs scored. Last year in Nashville the 'Dores swept the Tide while outscoring them 29-9.
