LAST WEEK (8-3)-----OVERALL (18-5)
Florida Atlantic @ Georgia – Georgia by 38….the felons are all back.
Idaho @ LSU – No spuds for you. LSU by 48
UAB @ South Carolina – USC 45 – UAB 17
Presbyterian @ Vanderbilt – I know what you're thinking…..Vandy by definition cannot play a cupcake. However, this is as much of a cupcake as it's ever going to get, and the alternative is too horrible to contemplate. Here's hoping many of the much ballyhooed Franklin recruits get in the game, including some alternate quarterback choices. Vandy 45 – Blue Hose 6.
The real games:
Alabama @ Arkansas – The Pigs come reeling into this game after one of the most shocking upsets since App State beat Michigan. At the first hint of blood, and it shouldn't take long, the Tide will wash over Arkansas like a giant red tsunami. Alabama 38 – Arkansas 14
Louisiana-Monroe @ Auburn – It's not likely that Auburn will be overlooking this game. Should really be a cupcake, but after last week…. Auburn 35 – LAM 17.
Western Kentucky @ Kentucky – Should be a cupcake, but like Vanderbilt teams of yore, there are no cupcakes for Kentucky. UK 21 – WKU 10
Texas @ Mississippi – Mississippi should be warmed up after two inconsequential wins, but Texas is a whole other load of bull. Texas 31 – Mississippi 17
Mississippi State @ Troy – This has the potential to be a trap game for MSU, but Troy just doesn't have the (Trojan) horses to compete. MSU 35 – Troy 10
Arizona State @ Missouri – The Tigers will still be smarting from their loss to Georgia, and will take it out on ASU. Mizzou 24 – ASU 14
Texas A&M @ SMU – Welcome to the SEC, TAMU. It's nice you have some former conference mates to take it out on. Texas A&M 35 – SMU 20
Florida @ Tennessee – Neither team is worthy of being ranked, but both are. Tennessee is by far the more fragile of the two teams, and if things do not go well early, the big orange fans will go home disappointed. Florida has the secondary to keep the UT passing game in check, and we know about the Vol rushing game. Gators 27 – Vols 20.
