Despite a bye week the Vanderbilt football staff has been hard at work recruiting. Look inside for the latest Vanderbilt football and basketball recruiting news.

9/27/2012- DeAndre Woods, a 3-star wide receiver (Pinson, AL) plans to visit Vanderbilt. In addition to Vandy, he has offers from Auburn, Arkansas, N.C. State, Purdue, Ole Miss, Mississippi State and others. LINK

9/27/2012- Eric Tetlow (Richmond, VA), a 2-star lineman, is waiting to see if Vanderbilt, Florida State, West Virginia, and Virginia Tech offer him. Tetlow (6-6, 290) already has offers from Arizona, Pittsburgh, Maryland, Wake Forest, Boston College, Purdue and others. LINK

9/27/2012- Vanderbilt has offered 2014 linebacker Cameron Queiro of Bergen Catholic (Oradell, NJ). LINK

9/27/2012- Wide receiver Brady Malone (Washington, DC) has visited Vanderbilt. Malone has good size for a WR (6-3, 190) but is still awaiting his first offer. LINK

9/27/2012- Vanderbilt has offered 2014 safety prospect Quincy Wilson (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) of University School. LINK

9/26/2012- 2014 TE prospect Ethan Wolf says he's hearing from Vanderbilt. Wolf (6-6, 221) already has offers from Toledo, Illinois, Ohio, Bowling Green and Cincinnati. LINK

9/26/2012- 2014 QB prospect Robert Jones (Louisville, KY) plans to visit Vanderbilt for the Florida game. LINK

9/25/2012- Three star defensive back Jalen Banks (Harvey, IL) plans a return visit to Vanderbilt for the Florida game. He has offers from Vandy, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Michigan State, Oregon and others. LINK

9/18/2012- Vanderbilt commit Malik Greaves has picked up offers from West Virginia and Auburn. LINK


9/25/2012- Three power forward Austin Colbert has named Vanderbilt among his final four school. Miami (Fla.), Illinois and Seton Hall are the three finalists. Colbert talked about Vanderbilt's Brian Snow, "People call Vanderbilt the Harvard of the South for a reason," said Colbert. "They really stress getting your degree, and if you get your degree from Vanderbilt you are going to be set for life. It is really important to me that academics come first, and getting that degree would be monumental." LINK Top Stories
