Final visit for McQuay

Four-star safety Leon McQuay is headed back to USC this weekend with his mother to check out the Trojans. He will make his announcement in three weeks.

Safety Leon McQuay (Seffner Armwood) will make his final official visit this weekend. He and his mother will travel west and make trip to USC.

This will be McQuay's second visit to Southern Cal. He and his father made an unofficial visit there over Labor Day weekend.

McQuay has previously visited Vanderbilt, Oregon, Michigan, and FSU.

A new team in the mix that won't get an official visit is USF. McQuay and his father met with new Bulls coach Willie Taggert this past weekend.

"We met with coach Taggert on Sunday," said his father, Leon McQuay, Jr. "Being that USF is in Tampa is huge and I really like him. I like his energy. We felt obligated to give him a shot."

McQuay, 6-foot-1 and 185-pounds, is a four-star recruit and the nation's No. 6 ranked safety. Through a dozen games this season he recorded 62 tackles, 13 pass break ups, five interceptions and four blocked kicks. He will make his announcement at the Under Armour All-America game.
