Vanderbilt baseball continues domination

It was another routine week for Vandy: four more games, four more wins over ranked opponents. Vanderbilt baseball continues to dominate the Southeastern Conference and now has a 3-game lead over LSU in the race for the regular season title. Tuesday: W, 10-2 at Louisville
Friday: W, 3-1 vs. Mississippi State
Saturday: W, 5-2 vs. Mississippi State
Sunday: W, 8-3 vs. Mississippi State


Tony Kemp: Had 3 multi hit games during the week. Picked up three hits in the win at Louisville and went 4-for-4 in Saturday's win over MSU. Kemp went a phenomenal 9-for-14 for the week with a double, a triple, 3 walks and 3 stolen bases. He is batting .399 on the season.
Tyler Beede: Improved to 11-0 after allowing just 2 runs over 7 innings and piling up 9 strikeouts. Beede's ERA is 1.63 with 74 strikeouts.
Mike Yastrzemski: Had 3 RBIs in the win over Louisville. Drove in 2 RBIs in Friday win over MSU. Yaz's season batting average is .331, second best on the team.
Kevin Ziomek: Improved to 8-2 on the season after striking out 9, walking just 3, and allowing just 1 earned run in the Friday night win over MSU. Ziomek now has 84 strikeouts on the season (ERA: 2.12).
Connor Harrell: Harrell struggled for much of the week finishing with just 2 hits in 14 at bats for a .143 average. He still sports a nice .314 season batting average with a team leading 8 home runs.
Conrad Gregor: Went 3-for-3 with 3 hits and 3 RBIs in Sunday's win over MSU. Gregor had a solo homer during that game too. He batted .385 for the week and is batting .291 on the season with a team leading 39 walks.
Vince Conde: Drove in four runs in the win at Louisville. Season batting average is .314 with six home runs.
Xavier Turner: Turner had a sub-par week picking up just three hits and seeing his game hitting streak end. He is batting .311 on the season.
Brian Miller: On Friday night Miller earned his 12th save of the year, breaking the Vanderbilt school record for saves in a single season. ERA now at 0.68.
Carson Fulmer: Struck out 2 in 1.2 innings of relief in Saturday win over MSU to earn his third save of the season.
Spencer Navin: Navin had three hits and two walks during the week to finish with a .200 average. Batting .299 on the season with 23 RBIs and a pair of homers.
Jack Lupo: Lupo had a good week, going 6-for-14 (.429) with three doubles. Batting .311 on the season with seven doubles.
T.J. Pecoraro: Pitched five strong innings in Sunday's win over MSU to earn the victory. ERA now down to 1.80.
Philip Pfeifer: Pitched 1.2 innings of relief on Sunday allowing two hits, a walk and one run while striking out one. ERA now 4.22.
Walker Buehler: Earned the win on Tuesday night against Louisville after pitching 5.1 strong innings.
Zander Wiel: Batted .308 for the week with a double and a home run to go with six RBIs. Batting .310 on the season.

Vanderbilt 39-6 (19-2 SEC) has won 11 straight series this season and 15 straight dating back to last season. The 19-2 conference start is Vanderbilt's best record ever through 21 games. Vanderbilt's team batting average is .314 (opponents .212) with a 2.58 ERA (opponents 6.71 versus Vandy)
