Vandy in SEC final stretch

With an SEC Eastern Division title safely locked up, No. 1 ranked Vanderbilt's next target is the Southeastern Conference regular season championship. After that there will be more challenges for the guys in Black & Gold as the team eyes a return trip to the city of Omaha. First things first though, Vandy plays Presbyterian on Wednesday night.

Tony Kemp: Had two hits, a walk and stole a base in Saturday's win over South Carolina. Batting .392 on the season
Tyler Beede: Beede (12-0) continues to pitch like a professional in a college uniform. On Friday night Vandy's stellar sophomore allowed just two hits and four walks in 6.1 inning of work. In the fifth inning with one out and runners on second and third he displayed his grittiness by retiring the next two batters to get out of the inning unscathed. ERA at 1.73 with 81 strike outs.
Mike Yastrzemski: Had a hit in Friday night's game and was dominant in the Saturday win picking up three hits, a walk and a stolen base. Batting average has climbed to .341.
Kevin Ziomek: Ziomek (9-2) had another outstanding throwing seven scoreless innings on Friday night before giving up a run in the eighth. ERA at 2.03 with 88 strike outs.
Connor Harrell: Had two hits and a walk during the 2-game series in Columbia. Batting average at .311 with eight homers.
Conrad Gregor: Gregor had a hit and an RBI in Friday's win over the Gamecocks. Batting average at .280.
Vince Conde: Conde had three hits in Saturday's win over USC. Batting average at .321.
Xavier Turner: Turner had a hit in each game at USC. Batting average at .306.
Brian Miller: Earned his 13th save of the season on Friday night despite giving up a home run. ERA at 0.89 with 34 strike outs.
Carson Fulmer: Pitched 2.2 strong innings in Saturday win striking out two while allowing just one hit. ERA at 2.93 with 34 strike outs.
Spencer Navin: Two-run homer in the second inning on Friday night gave Vanderbilt the early lead. Batting average at .298 with 25 RBIs on the season.
Jack Lupo: Had a pair of hits over the weekend.
T.J. Pecoraro: DNP.
Philip Pfeifer: DNP.
Walker Buehler: DNP.
Zander Wiel: Wiel had three hits in Saturday's win over the Gamecocks. Batting average at .333.

Vanderbilt 41-6 (21-2 SEC) has won 12 straight series this season and 16 straight dating back to last season. The 21-2 conference start is Vanderbilt's best record ever through 23 games. Vanderbilt's team batting average is .314 (opponents .211) with a 2.55 ERA (opponents 6.57 versus Vandy)
