Chance Sorrell visited Vanderbilt earlier in June and subsequently tweeted "Shout out to @jamesfranklinvu for a great visit today!!!" [LINK] He apparently wasn't just being nice as he is now part of Vandy's 2014 commit list.
The 6-foot-6, 250 pound Sorrell chose Vandy over offers from Boston College, Cincinnati, Bowling Green, Indiana, Kent State, Louisville, MTSU, Ohio and West Virginia. Michigan State and Ohio State were reportedly close to offering as well.
Sorrell could play at either tight end or on the offensive line for the Commodores.
Scout.com Ohio recruiting analyst Bill Green commented on Sorrell as a player.
"Sorrell has a lot going for him, especially his frame and footwork for a player 6-foot-6, 255-pounds," said Green. "He would appear to be a player that would play college football at 280-290 pounds, and potentially be a left tackle at the next level."
