LAST WEEK (8-1)-----OVERALL (37-5)

South Carolina @ UCF – Interesting that UCF managed to get the Gamecocks to come visit. This should make it closer than you might expect, but the Chickens will prevail. South Carolina 31 – UCF 21

Arkansas State @ Missouri – No problems for the Tigers in this mid-season cupcake game. Mizzou 42 – Arkansas State 14

South Alabama @ Tennessee – Enjoy it while it lasts. Starting next week the SEC comes calling with a vengeance. UTK 42 – South Alabama 14

Texas A&M @ Arkansas – A&M's first road game, and an easy way to break into travel mode. Aggies 31 – Arkansas 10

Florida @ Kentucky – The Gator's backup QB (now the starter) looked pretty good against UTK last week. Think how much better he'll look this week against the Mildcats. Florida 35 – little Blue 7

LSU @ Georgia – Playing between the hedges, Georgia is hard to beat. And they are motivated and battle tested. LSU has been playing lesser opponents and has not really been forced to show anything. The question is if they have anything to show. Dogs 34 – Tigers 27

Mississippi @ Alabama – I really, really, really want to pick Mississippi in this one. The Tide hasn't exactly crushed anyone, and Ole Miss is better than anyone really expected. In Oxford, maybe, but in Tuscaloosa? Tide 31 – Mississippi 27

UAB @ Vanderbilt – I would have hoped this would be a nice game to work out the final kinks in the playbook. Unfortunately, with Vandy's league (and nearly BCS)-trailing defense against third down conversions and anemically confused rushing game, this could turn into a dogfight. Vandy should score on enough "big" plays to win, but it won't be easy. Commodores 27 – UAB 17 Top Stories
