Weekend plus Recruiting Wrapup

It was a Super Sunday not only for the Seattle Seahawks but for the Vanderbilt Commodores' recruiting efforts. Vandy landed seven commitments since Sunday morning including five that flipped for other FBS programs. Look inside for details.

Bruno Reagan

Clarksville High School
3-star lineman was first team All-State and 50-0 as a wrestler

Shawn Stankavage
QB6-3, 176Raleigh, NC
Cardinal Gibbons High School
Had offers from ECU (decommit) and Wyoming. Had 3,564 yards passing with 34 touchdowns and 14 interceptions and added 1,058 yards rushing with 13 touchdowns.

Tre Tarpley
S6-1, 195Pittsburgh, PA
Central Catholic High School
Former Boston College commit had 20 combined FBS and FCS offers.

Davis Winkie
LS6-6, 250Cumming, GA
South Forsyth High School
One of the top D1 long snapping prospects, Winkie also has the frame to play on the offensive line. Chose elite academics over an invite from Penn State.

Charles Wright
DE6-4, 220Irvine, CA
Beckman High School
Offers from Wyoming UTEP, New Mexico State, San Jose State (decommit) and others.

The Commodores are expected to get two more commitments in the coming days. One prospect, WR Trevon Lee, will announce (Duke or Vandy) on Monday night at 8 pm CT on http://wqam.com/ (UPDATE: Lee picked Duke).

4-star defensive end Nifae Lealao visited Vanderbilt over the weekend and could possibly commit to the 'Dores. He will announce his decision at noon CT on Signing Day.

Vandy could land a few more players on signing day.

Huge Illinois lineman Denzel Ward will announce on Signing Day at 10 AM CT on Campusinsiders.com.

Three star CB Ladarius Wiley (Cathedral HS; Los Angeles, CA) also recently said he's favoring Vandy over Boise State and will announce on Signing Day. He also has offers from Virginia, Purdue and Northwestern.
