Peart says, "Proud to say that I have just committed to play football at Vanderbilt University. Anchor Down."
Peart picks Vandy over offers from Arizona, Yale, Northwestern, Cal, Utah, Arizona State, Boise State and Nevada
Peart comments, "I picked Vanderbilt mainly because of the academics, an education from Vanderbilt will allow limitless opportunities for me after football. Plus, Coach Mason is taking the program to new heights in the near future. Also, I think I fit their 3-4 scheme very well."
Here is film and a breakdown of Vanderbilt's newest commit:
Name: Caleb Peart
School: Chandler (Az.) Hamilton
Size: 6-2 235
Recruiting: 3 star prospect.
Scout.com Eval: Has played on Hamilton's varsity squad since he was a freshman and already has been named all-state twice. Very sound technically. Uses hands and well and has a good motor, rarely seen loafing and can get to the quarterback. Thick and strong. Good in both the run and pass game. Biggest knock is going to be his height, if Peart were 6-5, he would have every offer in the country. Some schools project Peart as a stand up linebacker, something he hasn't done but has the athletic ability to do. He has always played with his hand on the ground but has been practicing playing LB this summer in passing league events.
