Patton Robinette saw his first action in several weeks in the final minutes of the game. He completed 7-of-10 passes for 65 yards but he couldn't get the 'Dores in the end zone on that final drive. Davis Dudchock and Scheu each had five catches. Latevius Rayford made seven receptions to lead the team.

Commodores' bowl streak ends. Vanderbilt is now 3-7 with the loss to Florida. This means the 'Dores 3-season bowl streak is over. The Commodores played in the Liberty, Music City and BBVA Compass Bowl in back to back seasons from 2011 to 2013. Vandy won two of those three bowls. Many close observers didn't believe it was possible for that to happen but the players proved them wrong and had a lot of fun in the process.
