Deuce Wallace Flips to Vandy

Vanderbilt hosted its Junior Day over the weekend and struck gold when Deuce Wallace, who previously had committed to Northwestern, flipped to Vandy.

Deuce Wallace Profile

Showing his class and great poise, Deuce Wallace first sent a thank you letter to the Northwestern nation letting them know of his change of plans.

"I want to thank the Northwestern family and coaches for the opportunity to play football at such a prestigious program. But after much thought and a lot of prayer, I have decided to play football and attend my dream school."

Then Deuce tweeted another message that said, "I will be attending and playing football at #Vanderbilt University".

Wallace provides a solid leader on the field and precision passer that Andy Ludwig needs for his offenses to be successful. The facts are not known yet, but it's not too far fetched to believe that Patton Robinette's retirement announcement played a role in Wallace's change of plans.

Wallace is the second player to commit for the 2016 signing class. Vanderbilt is expected to sign 16 players. Last week Oklahoma (Jenks) safety Austin Quillen committed to the Commodore program.
