Vandy after Colorado commit Anthony Julmisse

Earlier this month, South Plantation (FL) running back Anthony Julmisse committed to Colorado but that hasn’t stopped Vanderbilt from pursuing.

The 3-star South Florida prospect informed VandyMania that he is not only actively listening to the Commodores but is in the works of setting up an official visit to Nashville.

“I haven’t set the date just yet but I am in talks with Vanderbilt to officially visit them sometime soon,” said Julmisse.

At the beginning of October, Julmisse officially visited Colorado then the following day, he committed to the Buffaloes.

Since his commitment, Julmisse has been relatively quiet in his recruitment. The only schools besides Colorado he has been in contact with, is Vanderbilt. The Commodores appear to be the biggest threat at stealing the versatile offensive playmaker away from Colorado.

“I am really only looking at Colorado and Vanderbilt,” he said. “I will end up making my decision between those two schools.”

Colorado has Julmisse recruited as a running back but for the Commodores, they want to use him as a receiver and place him in many positions on offense.

“I talk a lot with Coach (Cortez) Hankton and he is recruiting me to play the slot. He said that he likes my size, hands and versatility and thinks I would fit well in the slot. I don’t mind playing that position. As long as I can get on the field, it’s ok with me.”

While nothing is set as of yet, look for Julmisse to officially visit Vanderbilt for either of their last two home games against Kentucky (Nov. 14th) and Texas A&M (Nov. 21st)
