Vanderbilt a finalist for top center Sean Auwae

Vanderbilt is in the running for one of the top centers nationally in the 2016 recruiting class, Sean Auwae.

Sean Auwae a 6-foot-3, 290 pound center from Hawaii could end wearing the Black and Gold of Vanderbilt.

Ohwhy, rated as the No. 9 center nationally by Scout.com, originally committed to UCLA but in late November decided to reopen his recruitment.

What's so special about Auwae?  He's quick off the ball, is a very solid pass blocker and shows the athleticism to get to the second level as a run-blocker. In fact, during his senior season he didn't give up a sack or tackle to any opposing player he was responsible to block.  Interest in Auwae blew up following The Opening regional camp in LA back in March.

What schools are high on Auwae list?  According to Dan Meyer of Scout.com, Auwae's new final 3 are Vanderbilt, Louisville and Hawaii. Other schools that have offered, include Oregon State, Washington State, Mississippi State, Arizona State, BYU, Texas Tech, Nevada and San Diego State.
