Vandy Commit Spotlight: Elijah Hamilton

National Signing Day 2016 is rapidly approaching. Between now and that important day for Vanderbilt football, will check out the Commodore commits. Today we'll take a look at athlete Elijah Hamilton who hails from Roswell, Georgia.

The Commodores gained a ball hawk in Roswell, Georgia product Elijah Hamilton.  The 195-pound athlete finished his senior season with 47 tackles, four interceptions, and six passes defended.
Hamilton had offers from 13 schools including Air Force, Navy, and Western Carolina.  The premium that Coach Mason puts on height and length will work well with the 6-foot-2 cornerback who is complemented with deceptive speed, running a 4.58 40-yard dash.
As seen in his film he nearly makes it look easy towering over opposing receivers for interceptions.   He also appears to have a knack for avoiding downfield blocks and keeping outside containment.
Hamilton had two interceptions in the quarterfinals matchup against Dawson County and helped lead Blessed Trinity to the state championship game where they fell in overtime to finish the season 13-1-1.
