Vanderbilt Commodores Commit Spotlight: WR Kalija Lipscomb

National Signing Day 2016 is rapidly approaching. Between now and that important day for Vanderbilt football, VandyMania.com will check out the Commodore commits. Today we'll take a look at athlete Vandy Kalija Lipscomb who hails from New Orleans, Louisiana.

Kalija Lipscomb may be one of the fastest players in the 2016 Vanderbilt recruiting class.  As a junior, he helped lead Jesuit High School of New Orleans to a 17-14 victory over John Curtis, with two touchdown receptions to pick up the school's first state championship in over four decades.
He runs beautifully precise, crisp routes and possess the ability to stop on a dime.   As seen in his film, he not only makes defenders miss but also makes them look ridiculous at times with a simple change of pace.
He finished his senior season with 65 receptions for 1200 yards, and 13 touchdowns leading Jesuit back to the playoffs.
Lipscomb had offers from Nebraska, Arkansas, Northwestern and Louisiana Tech and will be an outstanding addition to the Commodore recruiting class.
