It doesn't take long watching Frank Coppet's film to see why he made Florida's 7A all-state first team defense. The six foot, 180 pound Fort Lauderdale prospect is the utter definition of ball hawk who makes excellent breaks on the ball. Coppet has great field awareness at defensive back and does a tremendous job in zone coverage to keep an eye on the quarterback before demolishing his next victim.
Coppet helped lead St. Thomas Aquinas to win back-to-back national championships in 2015. He finished his senior season with 43 tackles, and four interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown. It's also clear from his film that he is an extremely physical player. Whether it's in man coverage at the line of scrimmage where he lays out receivers, or on the punt return team dismantling opposing gunners. Coppet has great football instincts and appears to enjoy cracking down on anyone who lines up on the other side of the field from him.
