College Basketball Recap: Vanderbilt Commodores 86, Auburn Tigers 57

The Commodores went on the road to demolish Auburn 86-57 on Saturday night.

Auburn jumped on top first but Matthew Fisher-Davis put the 'Dores on top with a 3-pointer and a jumper.

The Tigers answered with a three of their own and that would be the closest they would come to the lead with the game tied 5-5.

Damian Jones shot incredibly from outside with a nice touch multiple times on distant jumpers.  Jones shot 7-of-8 from the field in the first half.

The 'Dores went on terror in the final four minutes to go into halftime with a 37-24 lead.

Things got ugly quickly in the second half as Wade Baldwin IV and Fisher-Davis dropped three quick treys to put Vandy up 46-26.

Vanderbilt would get its largest lead of the night with a  tip-in by Josh Henderson that made the score 78-39.

Jones had a team-high 17 points with nine rebounds in 25 minutes of play.  Fisher-Davis was second on the team with 16 points while hitting 4-of-8 from 3-point range.

Nolan Cressler played an excellent game showing sparks of brilliance with 11 points, shooting 5-of-6 from the field.

Multiple 'Dores saw extended playing time as freshmen Camron Justice and Joe Toye added seven points each.

The rest for starters may prove useful as Vanderbilt will travel to Mississippi State to face the  (10-14, 3-9 SEC) Bulldogs on Tuesday, February 16th at 8:00 PM CT.
