Georgia lineman set to visit Vandy

The Commodores have yet to offer Mill Creek (Ga) center Tyler Fannin but that could change this weekend when he visits campus for Vanderbilt’s Junior Day event.

The 6’3, 290-pound lineman informed VandyMania that he received an invite to the event from Commodores offensive line coach Cameron Norcross and he is excited about being in attendance.

“I talked with Coach Norcross and wants me up in Nashville this weekend to attend practice and check everything out. I will definitely be there and I’m looking forward to meeting with the coaches and team but also see them in practice,” Fannin said.

Fannin admits if and when Vanderbilt does offer, it would become a game changer.

“It would mean a lot to have an offer from Vanderbilt,” he said. “I have a lot of interest in them and their offer would no doubt be one of the best I could receive.”

Fannin is up to 17 offers overall after adding his latest today from Virginia.

Scout rates Fannin as a 3-star prospect and has him positioned as an offensive guard. Many of the schools recruiting him view Fannin as a center on the next level.
