Vanderbilt to face Tennessee on Thursday in SECT

Vanderbilt will play Tennessee for the third time in the 2015-16 season. The Vols blasted Auburn and former UT head coach Bruce Pearl 97-59 to advance to the second round of the SEC Tournament which is being held at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.

Vanderbilt defeated Tennessee twice during the recently completed regular season.  Vandy won 88-74 in Knoxville in a game which was much more lopsided than the score indicated.   A little over a week ago the Commodores prevailed 86-69 at Memorial Gym.   In the series, which started in the 1921-22 season, Vandy has never defeated the Vols three times in one season.

Vanderbilt trails in their all-time series with the Vols 116-74.

Thursday's game will start about 30 minutes after the Arkansas-Florida game ends.  That game starts at noon CT so the Vandy-Tennessee game is expected to start at approximately 2:30 pm.

The winner at the Thursday's game will face LSU on Friday.
