4-star forward David Nickelberry has Vanderbilt in top 4

First-year Vanderbilt head basketball coach Bryce Drew received some welcome news on Tuesday when four-star forward David Nickelberry announced that the Commodores were among his top four favorite teams.

David Nickelberry, a forward from Windermere Prep School in Florida, posted on twitter a simple "Top 4 Couldn't be more excited".  A graphic attached to his post included logos for USC, Memphis, Georgia and Vanderbilt.

Nickelberry, who is ambidextrous, is rated the No. 98 prospect in the 2017 class by Scout.com.  Scout.com's analysis of Nickelberry speaks highly of the 6-foot-7, 200 pound player.

"Nickelberry is one of the most unique prospects in the 2017 class. He's an outstanding passer and even though he projects as a small forward - especially defensively - his vision will allow him to create for teammates no matter what position he's at on the court.   Nickelberry also has good ball skills and can make plays off the dribble. He'll need to improve his jumper and be more efficient than flashy, but there's a lot of upside if he puts it all together."

In addition to his four favorites Nickelberry also has offers from Texas, Miami (Fla.), Florida State, UCF and George Washington.
