His father played quarterback at the University of Alabama and the younger Walters will also play his collegiate football in the Southeastern Conference. Standing 6'1 200 lbs, Walters is a strong armed passer with great accuracy and the ability to make all the tough throws. He is also very mobile and can move in the pocket. Walters is also a strong leader and has been a two year starter for his high school team.
Walters choose Vanderbilt over offers from Alabama, Arkansas, Michigan, Ole Miss, Missouri, Rutgers, Texas A&M and others.
