Scenes from a blowout (Photo gallery)

The lighthearted atmosphere was infectious Saturday evening at Vanderbilt Stadium, as the Commodores throttled the visiting Chattanooga Mocs, 51-6. Here are some photos from the game.

Hundreds of fans, as well as the Spirit of Gold Marching Band and cheerleaders, lined Jess Neely Drive as the team crossed over for the traditional Star Walk.

Fan Robert Wiseman of Fayetteville, Tenn., supports the Dores by wearing a unique, custom-made belt buckle.

Speaking of custom-made, "Vandy" Lance Smith shows off a fashionable, custom-designed No. 6 Vanderbilt jersey in support of one of his favorite players, quarterback Jay Cutler. ("Six-pack" is Lance's personal nickname for Cutler.)

Jay Cutler lines up under center in first-quarter action. The Commodore offense struck early and often against the outmanned Mocs.

Obligatory cheerleader photo (you knew there had to be one).

Mr. Commodore hams it up. (Who you calling chicken?)

Young James Higgins is the "VandyMania Fan of the Game."

The Spirit of Gold Marching Band kept things lively for fans all evening.

Ah, there is happiness in VandyLand on a Saturday night. After singing the alma mater accompanied by the Spirit of Gold Marching Band, players Blake Luker (66), Brian Stamper (72), Kenan Arkan (70), and Paul Meadows (49) raise their helmets in celebration and thanks to the fans. The Commodores "conquered and prevailed", 51-6.
