Vanderbilt is in search of a big guy who could come in next season and give the Commodores an inside presence that they are needing after the graduation of center, Luke Kornet.
Michigan graduate transfer Mark Donnal immediately became a name to watch out for when he announced his intentions to leave Ann Arbor and search for a new destination. Vanderbilt quickly jumped into the mix as a team quite interested and this weekend, Commodores head coach Bryce Drew and staff are set to bring Donnal into Nashville for an official visit.
Donnal is set to see the Commodores this weekend and then travel to Omaha, Nebraska next weekend to officially visit Creighton. He also has intentions on seeing Clemson as well.
Last season with the Wolverines, Donnal saw his minutes diminish as the team went in other directions with other players. He averaged 3.9 ppg while hauling in 2.3 boards a game, Donnal showed throughout his Michigan career his ability to bang down low while also being able to step out and shoot the three.
Vanderbilt would like to bring in a grad transfer this season, especially a big guy who could provide minutes, boards and points from inside the paint. Donnal appears to be their top target at this current time.
