The Vanderbilt coaching staff has everything set and prepared for today's big visitor. That visitor is 4-star receiver Tommy Bush and today's visit to campus will be his first ever trip to Nashville and first chance at seeing the Vanderbilt surroundings for himself.
Bush is seen as one of the top receivers recruits in the country. Besides holding an offer from the Commodores, Bush also holds offers from the likes of Alabama, Auburn, Florida St, Georgia, LSU, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, TCU, Texas A&M, UCLA, USC and others.
Vanderbilt is a school that is flying under the radar when it comes to the recruitment of Bush. Many scouts in the business see the 4-star recruit headed elsewhere while considering bigger programs and that could very well be the case but the Commodores have put in a lot of effort with Bush and he appears quite receptive to what they are selling.
The Commodores are selling Bush on the fact that he could earn a top level education while playing in the best football conference in the country and with the depth at receiver being light, immediate playing time could be available for the 4-star receiver as well.
Academics are actually a big selling point for Bush. He is a high academic kid that is looking for the equal opportunity at earning a great education while playing on the brightest stage in college football. Today's visit to campus will go a long way in Vanderbilt's efforts at landing the Texas wide out.
Bush is currently a member of the Scout 300 as he rated as the No. 23rd ranked receiver in the country and the 7th overall wide out in the state of Texas.
