Texas DE/TE talks about Vandy commitment

Garland, Tex. TE/DE Brandon Holmes became Vanderbilt's tenth verbal commitment earlier this week, and he talks about his decision.

Brandon Holmes committed to Vanderbilt earlier this week, and it was an unofficial visit that really made the biggest impression.

"I made an unofficial visit this summer, and I fell in love with the school," said Holmes. "I love the academics, and I enjoyed sitting down with the coaches. We had a chat, and they really sold me on the University. I want to major in marketing. I haven't been to any games yet unofficially, but I am taking my official visit in December."

Holmes chose Vanderbilt over offers from Purdue, Missouri, Utah, Kansas, and UL-L.

"I was going to take an official to Colorado too, but I decided not to when they wouldn't guarantee me an offer."

Holmes became Vanderbilt's tenth public commitment for 2004. For a complete list of the Commodores' football commitments, click here.
