After losing four straight SEC games, the Commodores picked things up on a recent road swing and are playing an attacking style that has resulted in some of the best basketball of the season.
"We knew that a lot of people are saying, 'Hey, this is a young year for us,' and that was becoming an excuse," said guard Abi Ramsey after the Auburn win. "We knew that those are our strengths, because these people are young and people don't know who they are.
"So really, Coach just came in there with a new attitude and said, 'This is what we're going to do-- we're going to start attacking; everyone's going to be surprised if we come out with this new style.'"
Tipoff is at 7 p.m., but fans are encouraged to arrive early for the pre-game ceremony honoring the four seniors.
Thursday is also "Bring-a-Book Night"-- fans without tickets can gain free admission by donating a children's book. All proceeds go to the Charles Davis Foundation to benefit needy youngsters.
Freshman post player Carla Thomas was named SEC Player of the Week earlier this week for her efforts in Vanderbilt's road wins over LSU and Auburn.
