Sophomore Will Armstrong, after carding a 4-over 76 during opening round play, established a new 18-hole personal record with a 1-under par 73 on Monday. He now stands at 5-over par 149. The Austin, Texas, native had established his low-round mark of 75 during last weekend's opening 18 holes of the Seminole Intercollegiate.
Junior Ben McClung (Ponte Vedra, Fla.) followed yesterday's 78 with a 3-over par 75 to sit at 9-over par 153, while fellow junior Mark Donnell (Mobile, Ala.) is at 10-over par 154 after scores of 75-79.
Lance Goodson, a junior from Birmingham, Ala., carded a 5-over 77 on Monday for a two-day score of 13-over par 156.
Vanderbilt will close out play at the Hyatt/Dorado Beach Intercollegiate on Tuesday beginning at 7:40 a.m.
