Frank Straub is an outstanding offensive line prospect out of Henry Clay High School in Lexington, KY. Straub is blessed with great size and good quickness, along with sound ability in the classroom.
Straub, who stands 6-5, 305, is being recruited by a long list of schools including, Marshall, Akron, Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Tennessee, Nebraska, TCU, Boston College, Miami(OH), Louisville and Michigan. So far, Frank has received offers from Marshall and Akron.
Straub favorites right now include, Nebraska, Kentucky, Vanderbilt and Miami(OH). Frank's parents favor Vandy because of the strong academics there. He favors Kentucky because it is his home state school. Straub visited Miami(OH) and had a really good trip there.
Vanderbilt coaches first noticed Straub at a combine at Henry Clay High School in April. Since the combine Straub has received a steady flow of information from the Vanderbilt staff. Frank is scheduled to visit Vanderbilt on July 29.
Straub has good strength, benching 335. His fastest 40 time is 5.02. One of the finest plays of his junior season was when he pulled and led his running back and then basically "smothered" the defensive opponent.
The big lineman has camped at Tennessee, Nebraska and Michigan, where he earned a trophy for his outstanding performance.
