Key Game: Ole Miss, Sept 8. The series has turned into a heated rivalry since Tommy Tuberville left Ole Miss for Auburn a couple years ago.
Coach Tuberville says: "This is the first time as a coach I've had 85 scholarship playerSep. This is probably the most talented team that I've been around in a long time, but we don't have the experience. Hopefully we can overcome adversity early in the season. We go to Baton Rouge, to Syracuse and to Vanderbilt. That will be tough for a team that doesn't have lot of experience."
Overall projection: If Auburn can find a capable replacement for QB Leard and TB Rudi Johnson they should have no problem winning 6-8 games and finishing in the middle of the SEC West. They will not have a repeat of 2000's successes.
