Vandy Offers Alabama Lineman

Paul Selmon is a big offensive tackle prospect from Robert E. Lee in Montgomery, and he has picked up his first SEC offer.

Paul Selmon, a big offensive tackle from Lee/Montgomery, has received his first offer.

"Vanderbilt offered me last Wednesday," Selmon said.

"They are a really good school. They have exactly what I want to go into as far as academics. The coaches have also talked to me about having the chance to play as a true freshman." Selmon added.

Selmon was impressed with the coaching staff at Vanderbilt and said, "They seem to really care about all their players and care about all the players' grades."

Selmon was in Tuscaloosa for Alabama's Junior Day and he also attended Alabama's A-Day game. "Alabama is a big time school. They have a lot of hype. They also have what I'm looking for in academics as well," replied Selmon.

With one SEC offer and more offers expected, Selmon does have a couple of favorites and he added, "It is really between Alabama and Vanderbilt. I don't want to go somewhere that is too far away."

Selmon was awarded the Outstanding Lineman Award at the Ohio State camp last summer.
