Here's a series of images from the Commodores' triumphant return. Vanderbilt faces Texas this weekend in a best-of-three series in the Super Regionals, with the winner advancing to the College World Series.

The charter bus pulled up in front of the McGugin Center just before 10 o'clock as fans, staff and media waited to greet the team. The first order of business was unloading the bus.

Coach Tim Corbin stationed himself near the top of the stairs behind the railing along the sidewalk, making himself easily accessible to anyone who wanted to stop by and offer congratulations or to chat for a few minutes.

Ryan Klosterman posed for a photo with Hawkins Field in the background. A little later in the day, he was drafted in the 5th round of the major league baseball draft by the Toronto Blue Jays:

Cesar Nicolas (center), who was drafted in the 5th round by Arizona Diamondbacks in Monday's draft, and Jeff Sues (right),picked in the 14th round by the Cleveland Indians, posed for a photo along with Klosterman and a young fan.

Nicolas, who was voted the Most Outstanding Player of the Charlottesville Regional with a .455 batting average for the weekend, was in demand by the local media.

As Coach Corbin greeted well-wishers and fans, Head Coach Bobby Johnson of the football team stopped by to chat.
