Alabama Line Prospect Visiting Schools

One of the most talked about lineman in Alabama, is Briarwood Christian star, Andrew McCain. McCain made an unofficial visit this past weekend.

"I went to Vanderbilt. It went really well. I really liked the facilities. The coaches seem really excited about the future. It was a good visit," said Andrew McCain.

"I was able to meet with several coaches and tour the football complex. I spent most of the time with Coach Fisher, who is my recruiting coach. He talked to me about the general life of athletes on campus. I really liked it a lot. It's a nice place and it seems to be a place that is firm on athletics. I was impressed," said McCain.

"I took a visit to Arkansas about two weeks ago. It was a great trip. I really liked it a lot. I spoke with Coach Nutt for about 3 1/2 hours. He said they had a scholarship for me. Coach Nutt showed me everything they have to offer. I really liked that a lot. They have a new housing facility for freshmen. That is really nice. They also have a really good Christian outreach program. Coach Nutt was really fun to be around."

McCain plans to make one more stop before school begins.

"We have not started back to school yet. We don't start back until a week from Wednesday. I will probably try to go down to Auburn on either Wednesday or Thursday to watch practice."

McCain has offers in hand from Auburn, Florida, Arkansas, North Carolina, Clemson, Duke, Ole Miss, and North Carolina. McCain is still working on making a list.

"I want to explore all the places that have offered me. I want to experience game atmospheres, and be in the locker room with players after a game. I want to take some visits to a few schools that have not offered like Alabama and Notre Dame. Alabama has been sending me a lot of handwritten letters recently," said McCain.

McCain is not sure of his fall schedule.

"I want to hit the best and most exciting games every weekend. If I am playing an Away game, that is a long drive away, I would not want to go somewhere that is too far away."

When asked about a decision, McCain replied, "I guess it's still the plan to wait until after the season to make my decision. I will commit if I know for sure though. I would like to know before the season, but I don't think that will happen," said McCain.
