Second-stringer Steven Bright took over for Cutler and performed admirably (77 yards rushing, 12-of-23 passing for 118 yards). Here Bright drops back and scans the field.

The Osemwegie family proudly held up this banner in support of Vandy linebacker Moses Osemwegie. Osemwegie scored his first career touchdown on a fumble recovery in the first quarter.

Oh oh... Chris Leak (12) in open space means big problems for the Commodores. The sophomore torched Vandy for 307 passing yards. In pursuit is Vandy's Theo Horrocks.

Leak would score on this play just before halftime to cut the lead to 17-14. In pursuit for Vandy are Theo Horrocks (54), Dominique Morris (10) and Cheron Thompson (8).

The homecoming crowd was large, lively and festive. These former cheerleaders were among a large number of alumni on hand.

A number of former players also returned for the weekend, including Ainsley Battles, currently with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Late in the game, the Section F gang begins to get frustrated with the officials. "You couldn't call your dog!" yells Vandy Lance (hands raised, wearing No. 6 jersey).

Ron Zook meets with Bobby Johnson after the game. Zook, fired 12 days earlier by Florida, on this day coached his team to a 34-17 victory over Vandy.

Greeted by well-wishers, the Vanderbilt team makes the long postgame walk back to McGugin Center. Note the tape around the ankle of Jay Cutler (6), whose injury was announced as an ankle sprain.
