Star Georgia Kicker Likes Vandy

Vanderbilt is in desperate need of a reliable kicker. One fine kicking prospect in Georgia is interested in filling that void.

Hunter Bray is a talented kicker/punter for Saint Pius High School in Atlanta, Ga. who has Vandy on his mind.  "I am sending out my stats and tapes to schools, and to Vanderbilt especially", said the 6-1, 190 prospect.

Bray had an excellent season in 2001. He was successful on 11 out of 15 field goal attempts.  Six of the field goals he made were from made from 42 yards or more.  His longest was from 51 yards.  Hunter also converted 15 of 15 extra points.

Additionally, Bray excels with kickoffs. 77% of Bray's kickoffs landed in the end zone.  He kicked three on-side kicks.  His team recovered two of those.

Hunter also punted 35 times for an average of 34.8 yards per punt.

After the 2001 season Bray was selected first team All-County.  He was voted "Kicker of the Year" by the Dekalb County Touchdown Club.

Some of the schools Hunter Bray has heard from include USC, LSU, and Notre Dame.

Overall Bray looks like an outstanding prospect who could be the answer to some team's kicking troubles. Top Stories
