Top Alabama lineman offered by Vanderbilt

Taylor Pharr is one of the top offensive lineman in Alabama for the Class of 2006. Last week, Pharr traveled to Vanderbilt to attend practice.

"It went really good. We went up there Wednesday. We were able to get to know the coaches a little bit better. We also met a bunch of the players," said Pharr.

The Commodore coaching staff has made a strong impression with the talented lineman from Alabama.

"I was able to speak with Coach Johnson and Coach Caldwell. They are great guys. Things are really starting to look good up there."

Vanderbilt is the only school to offer Pharr, but he plans to impress coaches in summer camps.

"There is no doubt in my mind, I can hang with anyone in this state. I know I am one of the best offensive lineman. Andre Smith (Huffman High School) is incredible. I work out with him all the time. He is very talented," said Pharr.

Pharr is interested in his childhood favorite, Alabama.

"They (Alabama) will see eventually. I hope to really impress the coaches at camp this summer. Only time will tell if they are going to offer me or not."
