Scouting Report: Dawgs hope to stun Dores

The Vanderbilt Commodores (29-14, 10-11 SEC) visit the Georgia Bulldogs (23-20, 7-13 SEC) in another key SEC series. Last weekend Georgia dropped two of three games at Alabama. Vanderbilt hosted LSU and also lost two of three.

Georgia Hitting- The Bulldogs are the no. 12 team in the SEC in batting with a .267 (32 homeruns) average. Bobby Felmy is the top Dawg batting hitting .307 with four homeruns. Josh Morris is the Bulldogs top homerun hitter with 10 so far this season.

Georgia Pitching- Georgia is next to last in the SEC in ERA with a 4.84. The Dawgs are led by junior Michael Hyle who has a 3.78 ERA. Vandy will face senior right hander Sean Ruthven on Saturday and junior Will Startup on Sunday. Georgia's bullpen has blown five SEC save opportunities this season in the eighth inning or later including four in the past two weeks.

Georgia leads the all-time series with Vanderbilt 108-84. Vanderbilt won the first meeting with the Bulldogs in 1896, 1-0. Vanderbilt won all four meetings with the Bulldogs in 2004.
