Georgia lineman likes Vanderbilt

He's big, he's bad and he likes Vanderbilt. This 6-4, 304 lineman talks about why he likes Vanderbilt and several other SEC schools.

Washington County OL Lance Helton is a player that's starting to pick up heavy interest from schools throughout the south. Who all has been by to see him thus far?

"Vanderbilt, South Carolina, Coach Gailey from Georgia Tech, Florida State, and Georgia have all been by to see me," Lance Helton said.

"My favorite schools are Vandy, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech and South Carolina."

Why did those teams make his list?

Vandy: "I like the academics there and they're doing great things with that program."

Florida State: "Bobby Bowden. That's all you have to say."

Georgia: "They're a force on the field every year. You automatically know they're coming to play ball and win national championships. I also grew up with Seth Watts and Russ Tanner both."

Georgia Tech: "Coach Gailey is a great person and they've been to a bowl game like every year. The ACC is big time college football and they're great in their academic standards too."

South Carolina: "Steve Spurrier once again. Their OL coach has been with Spurrier since Florida so he has to know what he's talking about also." Top Stories
