Five Commodores picked in MLB draft

Jensen Lewis, Ryan Mullins, Mike Baxter, Ryan Rote and Jeff Sues were picked by Major League Baseball teams in rounds 3, 4, and 5 on Tuesday.

Junior right-handed pitcher Jensen Lewis was the top Commodore drafted today in the Major League Baseball Draft. Lewis was taken in the third round (#102) by the Cleveland Indians. Junior left-handed pitcher Ryan Mullins was the 105th pick (third round) by the Minnesota Twins. Junior first baseman Mike Baxter was taken in the fourth round (#128) by the San Diego Padres. Two Commodores were taken in the fifth round - senior right-hander Jeff Sues (#151 by the Pittsburgh Pirates) and senior right-hander Ryan Rote (#154 by the Chicago White Sox.
