Georgia CB Commits to Vandy!

Alan Strong is an athletic cornerback we've talked quite a lot about in the state of Georgia this year in regards to rising up the recruiting charts. Alan however has chose to cut his recruitment short by making a commitment to the Vanderbilt Commodores.

"Yes I have committed to Vanderiblt. It's close to home, they offer lots of playing time and with the depth situation I could end up starting by my redshirt sophomore year," Alan Strong said.

What sold the Douglass product on Vandy?

"It's a great academic school and they have great facilities. I love their weight room and the coaches show a lot of love. Schools offer but they don't show the love like Vanderbilt does."

A camp visit to Nashville sealed the deal for Alan.

"It's in the city and that really made me happy. The weather is very nice. It really reminded me a lot of Atlanta."

The Peach State product says he's extremely solid in his commitment.

"I'm not visiting any other schools. I don't think a school can beat what Vandy has to offer. They sent two cornerbacks to the league this year in addition to all of the other things I mentioned."

Strong chose the Commodores over offers from Bowling Green and Purdue. He becomes Vanderbilt's 3rd verbal commitment in the class of 2006. Top Stories
