Billinger says Vandy "most persistent"

Greg Billinger is a player to look for this fall. From the defensive tackle position Billinger recorded 60 tackles and two sacks in his junior season for Parkview. The DL/OL prospect currently holds four offers.

"I've had offers from Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, Purdue, and Virginia Tech," Billinger said. "I play defensive tackle and offensive tackle for Parkview but being recruited as a defensive end. Some coaches have said I could be a Center at the next level." Billinger doesn't have a leader but has narrowed the list to seven.

"I'm wide open at this time. Georgia, Ole Miss, Auburn, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech, Duke, and Georgia Tech are the schools I like right now."

Billinger has enjoyed the recruiting process.

"I'm new to the recruiting experience. It's all kind of flattering. All the schools I've come in contact with have been persistent. Of all the schools Vanderbilt has been the most persistent."

Billinger has attended a number of camps.

"I've gone to about four camps I believe. I was at Auburn's camp. I just came from Duke this past weekend. I was at Vanderbilt's a little over a month ago. I think I'm going to Georgia's camp on the July 8th."

Academics will be a key factor for Billinger when it's time to sign the dotted line.

"I have a GPA of 3.5. Academics are very important to me. I'd like to major in Law or Engineering. I need to know that a school is serious about academics."
